2014-2015

  • 9/19/2014– #HireTigers
  • 9/22-23/2014- Google at Princeton (Networking and Marketing Session)
    • The room dissolved into laughter as Google representative, Raine Katz, said, “If you think the freshman fifteen was a problem, come to Google. There’s food every 150 feet.” Katz is an account planner specializing in healthcare at Google, and her passion for her work and company are absolutely infectious. At the Google Information session sponsored by Career Services and Princeton Advertise This, Katz tossed out free headphones and Google play gift cards to anyone who could answer core questions about Google’s founding.

    • Emily Miethner, founder of FindSpark, a community designed to help creative professionals achieve success, shared with Princeton students advice on networking, communication, and job searches, during this exclusive dinner and networking event, “Spark Your Career with Emily Miethner”
  • 9/26/2014– J&J Interview 101 Marketing Panel (Career Center)
  • 10/1/2014 Communications and Media Night
    • Communications and Media Night, co-sponsored by Princeton University Career Services and Princeton Advertise This, was a huge hit with over 100 students in attendance from a variety of years and concentrations. The Intimate and casual setting in the Career Services office provided the perfect opportunity for students to have one-on-one and small group conversations with Princeton alumni working in diverse areas of communications and media.
  • 10/17/2014- Camille Hackney, EXP of Atlantic Records
    • Advertise This invited Camille Hackney, Executive Vice President of Brand Partnerships & Licensing at Atlantic Records/Warner Music Group, to talk to a select group of 30 students about her career experience working with legendary record label artists. Event followed by networking session.
  • 11/13/2014- Demystifying Startups
    • Our panel will feature startups in diverse fields, from fashion to sustainability, consulting to pharmaceuticals, and will feature panelists still in college, recent graduates, and experienced professionals. Our selection of speakers will provide a strong overview of the process that goes behind each stage of the startup process, and is composed of exclusively Princeton students and alumni.
  • 11/19/2014- AppNexus AdThis
    • Stephanie Manning-Junior University Recruiter at AppNexus, Veronique Valcu- Senior Manager, Brand Marketing at AppNexus
    • We’ll be doing a case study on AppNexus’ brand roll-out and brand development. We will also be joined by a recruiter, so it’ll be a perfect opportunity to look into summer internships!
  • 11/21/2014 – Juan Albanell AdThis
    • Juan Albanell is a marketing executive with 20 years of experience at PepsiCo, and is currently the managing Director at Albanell & Co, a strategic marketing consultancy. He has global experience in developed markets (UK, Western Europe, Australia), developing markets (Brazil, Russia, Turkey, China, and India), and emerging markets (Philippines and Ukraine). He has managed diverse portfolios and has led the field in brand and innovation management.

    • Rod McNealy ’72 is back by popular demand to give a day-long seminar on marketing. McNealy is the the Principal of McNealy Advanced Communications (MAC) and conducts marketing and advertising courses at the Wharton School, the Yale School of Management and Mount Holyoke College. Co-sponsored by Career Services.

    • Over 30 alumni return to campus to discuss various careers in Communications, such as marketing, advertising, PR, journalism, publishing, design and more. Co-sponsored by Career Services.
  • 11/15/2013 – Tour of Deutsch Inc.
    • Come with Advertise This to visit Deutsch Inc! Deutsch has been named one of the Top 10 Advertising Agencies by Forbes and Ad Age, and has served a wide range of clients, such as DirecTV, Johnson & Johnson, Kodak, Microsoft, PNC Bank, and Snapple. Get excited to meet people on their creative team and gain more insight into how an ad agency works. Who knows, maybe you’ll get to meet Don Draper.
  • 11/20/2013 – Fashion Marketing Panel II
    • Our highly successful Fashion Marketing Panel is back! Join us as we welcome back five incredible alumni to discuss marketing careers in the fashion industry and the overlap between the two industries. We will be featuring speakers from Polo Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, L’Oreal, Havaianas, Calvin Klein. After a moderated panel, students will be able to participate in a Q&A, followed by a networking session and a raffle for giveaways provided by our speakers.

    • What can students tell you about marketing internships that recruiters can’t? Trick question. EVERYTHING. Don’t miss this informal student panel featuring Yaniv Sapir ’15, Kristi Yeung ’14, Yoonha Jeong ’14, Benny Wagstaff ’14 and Paul Popescu ’14.     • YouTube has gone from a simple video-hosting site to an international powerhouse. Google is no longer just a search engine.   • 4/30/2012 – The Efficacy of Ads with Professor Danny Oppenheimer
    • How does one measure the efficacy of an advertisement? Can it be measured? This AdThis workshop with Professor of Psychology Danny Oppenheimer will allow students to explore advertising from a unique perspective, define evaluation mechanisms for testing ad efficacy and apply it on their own to gain a hands-on advertising experience.
